Philippine Banknotes: New Design 5 Peso Banknote

BSP started printing the new design 5 peso banknote in 1985. Much of its design remained unchanged except when Bangko Sentral Changed their logo in 1993. Printing of this banknote stopped in 1996, but existing banknotes remain legal tender as of this date.

I have been keeping this banknote for a while now.  This is the obverse side of the banknote. If you notice, this one has the 1993 Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas seal. I can only assume that this was printed sometime between 1993 and 1996.  Signed by President Fidel V. Ramos.

The reverse side featuring the declaration of independence by President Emilio Aguinaldo in 1898.

An earlier version of this banknote featured the 1949 graphical logo of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
