Improved Flora and Fauna Series (1991-1994)

The Improved Flora & Fauna Series or IFF, is a miniaturized version of the Flora and Fauna Series. First minted in 1991, these much smaller coins were to replace their larger and more bulky versions, but retaining essentially the same design. This series is the predecessor of the New BSP Series that is currently in circulation.

The 5 Piso coin is reintroduced, replacing the 5 Peso banknote.
